January 21, 2010

Jadestone Networks, the Scandinavian based owner and operator of multiplayer gaming networks GamArena and DiceArena, has confirmed that its backgammon network is the exclusive World Series of Backgammon (WSOB) championship qualifier network.

The championship, the finale to the 2009 WSOB tour, will take place in London on February 6th with a substantial prize pool of $480 000.

Jadestone has additionally announced that it has signed up the European online gambling group Unibet.net as a distribution partner.
The Jadestone online backgammon network launched in June 2009 and claims that it has since become one of the fastest growing networks in Europe in terms of player liquidity. This has been achieved through distribution via major b2b partners including Bwin, Nordicbet, Betoto and Paf with Betfair confirmed to join the network within months.

Tobias Nissen, General Manager of Jadestone Networks, commented: “We have proven to our existing partners that backgammon is a very popular game. With new partners coming on board, and with huge offline events such as the WSOB Championship, we expect to maintain growth through 2010 and to continue to lead the industry.”
