A challenge of note

Triathlons are usually a competitive test of endurance and fitness, but Coinflip.com and Betsafe.com are offering something a little different this month – a chance for players to pit their skills against champions in poker, backgammon and chess.

The buy-in is pricey at $10 000, but the winner will scoop a prize worth ten times that when the competition has run its course in Riga, Latvia

Here’s the deal – entrants will have to try and best high stakes online poker ace Ilari Sahamies; the 2004 word champion for backgammon, Peter Hallberg and chess Grandmaster Sune Berg Hansen.
