Buoyant Q1 2009 for Jadestone

April 24, 2009

The Scandinavian skill games developer and network pprovider Jadestone Networks is pleased with first quarter 2009 results just out, which show good progress for its DiceArena and GamArena networks, and a growing player base.

March figures show that the total number of unique cash players across the combined Arena business increased year on year by 116 percent. This strong upward trend is supported by good organic player growth, but also by the interest of a growing number of i-gaming operators in expanding into the skill gaming area. From three partner sites in Q1 2008, the number of sites featuring Jadestone’s Arena games has tripled to nine.

“We’re very pleased indeed with the development so far,” said Tobias Nissen, Business Development Director at Jadestone. “We’re seeing strong growth overall, with good numbers across the board. The DiceArena games are picking up momentum and we’re convinced that with over 200 000 pre-registrations from Bwin, the curves will continue to push in the right direction. More surprising is the strength of our more mature GamArena product. We just closed our biggest jackpot ever – a Euro 20 000 prize pool that was shared by avid Scarab Solitaire players.”

The company’s innovative multiplayer games are also creating solid interest in Jadestone, augering well for business prospects in 2009.  In only a week after its launch, Dice Solitaire has shot up to become the second most popular GamArena game, adding substantial new revenues. In the summer, Jadestone Networks plans to launch additional multiplayer games including a new Backgammon and the very well-known and highly popular game Liar’s Dice.
